Careerwise – Rajeev Khandelwal
Rajeev Khandelwal has got himself a Business Manager to manage his career. Shveta Salve’s boyfriend Rodney Barnes is set to get the best out of Rajeev’s Bollywood ambitions. Rodney will manage Rajeev’s work dates and finances. Rodney who started his career with Wizcraft started managing his girlfriend Shveta’s career. Besides managing Rajeev and Shveta’s career, Rodney also provides technical production help for events.
Says Rajeev, “I am hoping that my association with Rodney turns out to be a fruitful one. He is a very intelligent and sensible guy who knows his job well and he’s the right guy to manage my career.”

The script of Rajeev Khandelwal’s debut film ‘Aamir’ has no room for a heroine!
The suave Rajeev has no grandiose plans for his birthday tomorrow either, which he incidentally shares with actor Hema Malini .
Incidentally, Rajeev is busy preparing for his debut movie ‘Aamir’ (director Anurag Kashyap), which will get rolling after Dussehra.
Is it true that ‘good friend’ and actor Aamna Shariff was being tipped to pair opposite him in ‘Aamir’? “That’s wild speculation.

Rajeev to play ‘Aamir’
“As Captain Rajveer, who has been diligently training a batch of young cadets in ‘Left Right Left’ (‘LRL’, SAB) I sense identification with Shah Rukh Khan’s character in ‘Chak De India’.
Being a sporty and an adventurous person I would love to act in a movie like ‘Chak De’! Hats off to SRK for proving that you don’t always need a galaxy of top stars to make a runaway hit,†insists Rajeev Khandelwal who will now be quitting the show ‘LRL’.
Rajeev is gearing himself for his film debut in director Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Aamir’. But wouldn’t Rajeev’s absence adversely affect the show? “Maybe in the initial episodes his fans would miss him. But gradually audiences will get engrossed in the twists. After all it’s a character-driven and not a saas bahu one,†explains co-producer Deeya Singh.

Do you feel Sujal is the replica of your personality in any way?
Sujal was the character that brought me to the forefront. I don’t think that I performed amazingly well but, Sujal suited me very well. Sujal is the character which is present in everyone. Rajeev has a part which is like Sujal. Both of us are very passionate and stubborn. We have a lot of similarities except, I would not chase a woman if she is happily married. I would accept that as my destiny and will let her go.
One decision you are proud of making would be…
I am proud of all the decisions that I have made. The biggest one being the decision of quitting ‘Kahiin To Hoga’. I am glad and happy that I made the decision of quitting ‘Kahiin To Hoga’ at the peak of my fame. The character was at the peak however; I realized that if I needed to maintain the fame I had to leave. I would repeat every thing I did including the failures in the last four years.

Quit pro Quo – Rajeev Khandelwal
… Scream the headlines, everytime Rajeev Khandelwal turns his back on a successful character. Not that it bothers the actor who’s eyeing the big screen now…
Rajeev Khandelwal is in news again. But this time round, it has nothing to do with the two women – Aamna Shariff and Ekta Kapoor – in his life, but his career moves. To cut a long story short, Rajeev has quit yet another tele-serial , hot on the heels of his exit from Kahiin To Hoga , the serial that made him and his character , Sujal, such a rage. He seems to have quite a penchant for such stuff!
“Yes, it’s true. I will not be seen in the serial (where he plays an armyman ) anymore, but I haven’t quit the show. It’s just that my role is coming to an end,” he defends, in a tête-à-tête with Lucknow Times during a recent visit to the city. But if truth be spoken, Rajeev isn’t content being the SRK of the tele world.
